Greek society is shocked by the death of 18 migrants in the fires that hit the Evros region. The opposition parties are strongly criticising the government.

Eighteen people, including two children, were found charred near the forest of Dadia, in the area of Avantas in Evros.

According to the spokesman of the Fire Brigade, Yannis Artopoios, these are migrants, as there is no missing persons report, residents of the area.

According to Mr. Artopoios, the dead were found in a shack, without being identified yet.
