Emmanouela Frokou, arrived in Australia three and half years ago from Greece. Prior to her arrival she was third in the Panhellenic Championships, in her category.
Soon as she touched down in the Australia, she was enrolled in a gym and very soon her talent shined. She won a number of tournaments in Australia and now represents the country in international events.
Emmanouela spoke to our program about the demands of her sports. Her family belongs to the so-called “migrants of the crisis”, that hit Greece in the last decade.
We spoke to her mother Athanasia Delinikoli, about the challenges for parents to keep up with the a very competive sport and how it was for the family to integrate to Australia.
