Esperance Beach fall victim Eric Birighitti a promising soccer star

A greek background young man who drowned after he slipped off rocks in Western Australia was a promising soccer player with a college scholarship in New York.

Eric Birighitti, 21, vanished from Twilight Beach in Esperance on January 2 and his body was recovered on Tuesday after sharks were sighted in the area.

It was not far from where experienced scuba diver Gary Johnson was killed by a white shark last Sunday.
