Cyprus scored a major win 2-1 over Kazakhstan in Astana for the 7th round of the qualifiers for Euro 2020.
The home side found first the net at the 34’ minute with Yerlanov. The Cypriot team entered the second half determined to secure the win. They equalised at the 73rd minute with Pieros Soteriou and scored the winning goal at the 84’ minute with Nicholas Ioannou.
Cyprus is now 3rd in its group with ten points. They face next Russia.
Meanwhile Greece is playing Sunday morning (AEDT) away with Italy.
