Filmmaker Sotiris Dounoukos explores case of Joe Cinque

Greek Australian filmmaker Sotiris Dounoukos talks to Dina Gerolymou about his new film Joe Cinque’s Consolation.

His film is based on Helen Garner’s 2004 book of the same name. Garner’s work, sub­titled “a true story of death, grief and the law”, explored what happened in 1997 when a Canberra law student, Anu Singh, concocted a plan to drug and kill her boyfriend.
