Award-winning author Maria Papayianni is the Greek nomination for the Anderson Award 2020 for Children's literature, also known as "the little Nobel". Ms Papayianni speaks with great enthusiasm about her love for folklore tales, myths and magical realism, elements entwined in her writing. She spoke to SBS Greek about her journey in the world of children's and young adults' literature, her love for old tales and forgotten legends and the nomination for the Andersen award.
