Four people have lost their lives after an armed man started shooting outside the Mercy Hospital in Chicago, USA.
According to Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel, the four dead are a police officer, a doctor, a pharmaceutical assistant and the shooter.
The shooting begun outside Mercy Hospital, around 15:15 local time. According to local media, the shooter shot a woman outside the hospital multiple times before a police officer arrived in an SUV. The shooter shot the victim one more time before going inside the hospital.
It is still not clear if the shooter ended his own life or succumbed to police fire.
According to Chicago Police Superintendent Eddie T. Johnson, the first victim was a woman who in the past had a relationship with the shooter.
