Four teenagers are dead after driving and crashing a stolen car in Townsville

Four teenagers have died after the stolen car they were in crashed at a traffic light in Townsville. The driver of the car survived.


Two boys and two girls, died when the car they were on crashed at a traffic light in Garbutt, Townsville, on Sunday morning. A 14 year old boy survived the crash and authorities estimate he was the driver. 

Superintendent Glen Pointing from the state's police mentioned that the kids where aged between 14-18, but that hasn't been confirmed yet. The car had been stolen earlier in Idallia, another suburb.

Meanwhile, NSW authorities have recovered the body of a 28 year old man, 20 hours after he fell into the sea when the boat he and three other people were on capsized, on Bulli Point.  

Authorities managed to rescue two adults, but on Sunday morning recovered the body of a 5 year old child. The child's father is believed to be one of the rescued men.
