France and England scored emphatic victories and set a date for the quarter-finals of the World Cup hosted by Qatar.

Despite struggling in the first half, England got an easy 3-0 win over Senegal.

England now face outgoing world champions France in the quarter-finals, who also confirmed their dominance with a 3-1 win over Poland, thanks to two goals from Killian Empape and one from Olivier Giroud, who became the first ever scorer for the French national team.
