Demonstrations against the G20 summit turned into violent riots led by radical left-wing and anti-establishment groups, leaving at least 70 police officers injured. The "Welcome to Hell" march in Hamburg on Thursday, which included about a thousand hooded demonstrators, was stopped by riot police with water cannons in an attempt to break up the demonstration.
