George Souris: my father was in the Australian Army and my mother under German occupation

George Souris is the first Greek-Australian politician to ever lead a party in Australia, He was a leader of the Nationals in NSW from 1999 to 2003. He served as an MP for 27 years and as minister in Coalition government. Last Monday he received the AM award for the Queens birthday honours. He spoke to Themi Kallos about what this award mean to him and he elaborated on the moving story of his Kytherian parents and how they reunited after 15 years, in Australia.
