A unique goal that no other person on the planet at his age has achieved is being pursued by the Greek alpinist, Antonis Sykaris.

Greek alpinist, Antonis Sykaris, shared his dream of climbing the 14 highest peaks on the planet with the Greek SBS Greek.

He has conquered 5 of the 14 highest peaks in the world, his latest conquest is the dangerous Annapurna peak.

Now his goal is to conquer the remaining 9 highest peaks on the planet, achieving something that no other person on the planet has achieved at his age.

"If everything has gone well and we don't have an accident or anything else, in the summer of 2023 the goal of fourteen peaks will be completed. It's a goal that 43 other people may have achieved in the 75 years of Himalayanism, but no one has achieved all fourteen in over 50 years of age," he said.

Antonis Sykaris was born in May 1962 and is considered the leading Greek alpinist.

He is the only Greek who has climbed five of the 14 eighth peaks of the earth (Grand Slam), Everest 8,848m, Kangchenjunga 8,586m, Manaslu 8,163m, Lhotse 8,516m and Annapurna 8091m.
