Drew Pavlou walked out from a disciplinary hearing in the University of Queensland today, saying it was stacked against him. The student claims that he is facing expulsion due to his criticism of China.

Mr Pavlou and his legal councel, Tony Morris walked out from a disciplinary hearing at the University of Queensland, that was to decide his fate as a student there.

Mr Morris said that when he asked the board to request the release of documents from the university which are vital to prove his client's innocence, the board refused.

Mr Pavlou called the procedure a Kangaroo court, and noted if he is expelled from the University, then he will take his case to the Supreme Court of Queensland.

Breaking: My legal counsel Tony Morris QC and I walked out of UQ’s hearing today as it was stacked against us. They’ve learned well from their masters in Beijing about show trials. I won’t respect their kangaroo court. pic.twitter.com/aax0qvAXR2

Mr Pavlou claims that the university is trying to expel him due to it's ties with China, since the 4th year Philosophy student has participated in demonstrations in favour of Hong Kong within the univerisIty and is critical of the Chinese Communist Party.
