There was a significant “Greek-Australian” mark on the first round of the A league for the new season 2019-20.

Chris Ikonomidis was the scorer of Perth Glory’s draw with Brisbane Roar. Western United, made a brilliant start winning in Wellington. Panagiotis Kone was in the starting line up of the newcomers, whilst Jonathan Aspropotamitis came on as a substitute in the second half.

Wellington- Western United 0-1

Melbourne Victory- Melbourne City 0-0

Western Sydney- Central Coast 2-1
