Greek innovation helps people suffering from dementia

Greek Students of the University of Thessaly, Department of Computer Science and Biomedical Informatics and University of Piraeus, Department of Computer Science develop a solution for people suffering from dementia, triggering memory via familiar sounds.


AuDi-o-Mentia is a home assistive information system offers services to people suffering from Dementia, at the early stages.

Its function is to play a characteristic sound for each of the familiar faces of the person with Dementia, in order to help them remember them more easily.
