Greek Orthodox Archdiocese honours the Battle of Crete

The Greek Orthodox Church of Australia marked the 79th anniversary of the Battle of Crete with a commemorative service yesterday at its Cathedral in Sydney’s Redfern.


Archbishop Makarios in a special message for the occasion said that the battle of Crete an the invaluable contribution of Australian soldiers has created very strong bonds between the two countries and nations.
