High inflation and the cost of living led Greek citizens to make more conservative purchases for the Christmas holiday season.


The purchase of cheaper products and less food for festive meals dominated the Greek retail market this Christmas.

At the same time, the government aspires to give consumers a breather with the household's festive basket, which was expanded with new products due to Christmas and New Year's Day shopping.
