''I can't breathe'': Former police officer charged with murder for the death of George Floyd

Former police officer Derek Chauvin has been charged with murder and manslaughter for the death of George Floyd. Meanwhile Minneapolis enters the fourth night of protests and riots spread to other major cities.


Several active-duty military police units have been told to prepare to deploy within as little as four hours, if called upon to enter the US state of Minneapolis.

It comes as rioting in the city caused by the death of an unarmed African-American man at the hands of a police officer continued for a fourth consecutive night.
