With Syria's civil war now in its seventh year, people are continuing to flee the bloodshed.
Pressure is building on the international community to aid them while working towards a resolution of the fighting.
No country has felt the impact of mass asylum quite like neighbouring Lebanon, which now hosts more refugees per capita than any other nation in the world.
SBS recently travelled to Lebanon's Bekaa Valley, where more than a million Syrians have sought refuge.
