It's been more than a 100 years since the last traditional wedding ceremony took place in the land of the people of Port Curtis Coral Coast in Queensland.

It was revived by Goreng Goreng woman, Cherrisma Blackman and her partner, Quandamooka Nunukul man, Lincoln Costelloe.

The couple married at Wogun Bay  in the town of ‘’1770’’.

Speaking to the ABC, Mrs Blackman said that her great-grandparents were the lasts ones to wed in this manner, in secret, over a century ago.
