Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced yesterday the postponement of his judicial reform plan, saying he wants to seek a compromise on the controversial package with his political opponents.

After two days of mass protests, Benjamin Netanyahu has postponed his plan to reform the country's judicial system.

The original plan was expected to give the parliament the power to overturn Supreme Court decisions.

The decision has been suspended until parliament returns from the Easter holiday and Israel Independence Day.
