His new book titled "Welcome to the Poisoned Chalice: The Destruction of Greece and the Future of Europe", has caused a political storm in Greece, with the major opposition party even calling for the establishment of a Parliamentary Special Inquiry Committee. The book's author, economist James Galbraith, and Professor at the Lyndon B. Johnson School of Public Affairs, at the University of Texas, was a close associate of former Greek Finance Minister Yianis Varoufakis. His book, he explained to Alexandros Logothetis, is an account of his experiences during that period.
