“The Just Give Me The Pills” is a story of repression. It is a story of being silenced, and the terror of realising all the choices you’ve ever made are those you were expected to make, and you have no idea who you really are. It is a story that is expressed through poetry about a woman who married young and is confronted with her phobias in order to find her “voice”, Koraly Dimitriadis said.
«It’s was really nice being in Cyprus,» Dimitriadis says. «I try to go every two years. I feel like it is my home so much, even though I was born in Australia».
«Just Give Me The Pills» book launch will take place on Greek Centre at 168 Lonsdale Street, Melbourne, on December 2nd.
The book launch will be a night to include a line-up of poets and musicians from migrant backgrounds as they interpret the theme of repression and the metaphor “Just Give Me The Pills”.
