Queensland coast expected a king tide just before midnight on Wednesday.


Brisbane City Council sandbags available in case of localised flooding, as Queensland coast expected a king tide before midnight tonight.

The three contributing factors were the full moon, expected on June 17, strong southerly winds in New South Wales pushing water against the coast and the water temperature, the Bureau of Meteorology said.
