Leea Nanos was born on March 2002 in Melbourne. Her father is Greek, from Kastoria and Aigio. Her mother from Australia. From the age of 11 she started singing, took classes and soon began writing her own lyrics and music.
Just in 16 years of age she created history, by becoming the the youngest contestant in "Eurovision: Australia Decides" competition. Her song "Set me free" may not have been chosen to represent Australia at the 2019 Eurovision song contest, but it has been a huge success, both inside and outside Australia.
Now Leea Nanos is dreaming to represent Greece at Eurovision 2020. Her father's country. She wants to make her grandmother, who lives in Aigio and has serious health problems, proud. But above all he wants to make the Greeks and Greece as her second country proud. Because, as she admits, her Greek ancestry has shaped her into who she is and has engraved strong values within her.
She may not speak Greek, but Leea Nanos wants to express and unite all Greeks through her music, both in Greece and Australia.
