Leyonhjelm at odds with himself on gun meeting

Former Prime Minister Tony Abbott is denying accusations that he is trying to undermine his successor, Malcolm Turnbull, by speaking up on the issue of gun control. He is also denying accusations by Liberal Democrat Senator David Leyonhjelm that there was a deal to change gun legislation in return for Senator Leyonhjelm's vote. Mr Leyonhjelm claims an email from an Abbott staffer suggests the government would add a sunset clause* on the Adler shotgun ban, if the senator opted to vote for a Migration Bill.
