Thousands of librarians from around the world have gathered in Athens for the 85th conference of the International Federation of Libraries.
Libraries:a dialogue for change is in the center of this year's international conference which has attracted thousands of librarians from 135 countries including Australia.
Ms Alexandra Papazoglou, president of the Association of Greek Librarians and Information Scientists, spoke to SBS Greek about the role of the libraries as a public space for dialogue, knowledge and information, the impact of the new technologies and the challenges for the librarians.
