Low to middle-income earners better off

Retirees and older Australians will get a multi-million dollar boost in the federal budget, with a special aged care statement aimed at clawing back support from older voters. Low and middle-income earners are also expected to benefit, with tax cuts worth up to 10-dollars-50 a week. The tax relief will be delivered by an increase to the Low Income Tax Offset from July 1.
