Today, Holy Thursday in the Greek Orthodox calendar, Australia’s Archbishop has issued a special message stressing that “this year’s Easter will be different “but we can make it have its own beauty”.
His Eminence justifies this “because we will live something completely unprecedented, but also something ascetical”.
Mr Makarios encourages the faithful not to have a surface relationship with Christ but to search deeply their spirituality.
“Maintain a lively and prayerful communication with Christ”, says the Archbishop.
