The Greek-Australian writer/director/actor Alex Lykos presents to the cinephile his latest movie titled “Me and my left brain”.

In his interview with the Greek with SBS Radio’s Greek Program, Mr Lykos says that it is an intelligent  romantic comedy about love, career choices and the paralysing effect of over thinking.

The scenario goes like this:  Arthur is in love with Helen, has a job interview in the morning but cannot sleep. The conventional romantic-comedy is flipped on its head with the comical physical representation of Arthur’s inner-critic.

The music of the film, an all-jazz score,  belong to award-winning composer Cezary Skubiszewsk.

In this interview Mr Lykos also talks about his views on the Australian Films and how the industry can be supported by the authorities and the public. Furthermore, he elaborates on how independent producers like him self can have their films shown to the big theatres.

The interview is in English.
