Melbourne artist to spend 12 months painting Greece

Jason Roberts a Melbourne artist, is just a few weeks away from a 12 month painting project through Greece. He has secured a sponsorship from a Thessaloniki-based organisation, Amalthia, who are dedicated to the study and preservation of indigenous Greek livestock - some of the most ancient(and genetically important) breeds in the world - www.amalthia.org Mr Roberts told Sotiris Hatzimanolis he will spend two weeks on Chios in September as a guest of the Mastiha Growers Association and he will give them a body of work - sketches and paintings featuring Mastic, everything from botanical paintings of the trees to paintings of the exquisite Genoese architecture of Mastihohória.
