German Chancellor Angela Merkel arrived yesterday (Jan 10) in Athens for a 2 day visit.
She met with the Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras in a show of post-austerity solidarity lending diplomatic support for a name change for Greece's neighbour FYROM.
She is scheduled to meet the President of the Hellenic Republic Prokopis Pavlopoulos and the leader of the opposition Kyriakos Mitsotakis.
