Authorities in the Darling Downs community of Millmerran are working to determine the extent of property loss from a bushfire that kept firefighters busy all night and continues to impact homes in the area.

More than 50 residents have been evacuated from their homes and a Watch and Act warning remains in place for people at Cypress Gardens and Forest Ridge.
