Miranda Frangou was born and raised in Queensland's Brisbane in the dawn of the new millennium. Her background is Greek-Cypriot. Her grandfather Fragiskos was from Agia Marina, a few kilometers outside of Nicosia. In 1956 he received a scholarship for studies in agriculture and originally settled in Melbourne. Today her grandfather lives in Tasmania.
Miranda Frangou, realised from a very young age how much she liked acting. She began participating in many school theatrical plays and at the age of 16 she decided to acquire an agent. Six months later she took part in an audition for Australian film Breath, directed and starred by renowned Australian actor Simon Baker. Soon she received a positive answer and got to act in the big screen for the first time in her life.

At the young age of 19 and although Miranda Frangou has already appeared in a big screen movie, she seems very down to earth. Her life and friends remain the same. She holds two jobs, one at a news agency and one at an after school care. Acting is of course is her great passion and long lasting dream, which she continues to pursue. She deserves every success.
