The number of vdead in Halkidiki after the powerful storms that wrecked parts of northern Greece has risen to 7. The latest victim is a fisherman who went missing in Wednesday afternoon.

The authorities located the body Thursday afternoon. The 62-year-old had gone fishing the previous day, with his wooden boat. His body was taken to the port of Nea Moudania where he was identified by the people close to him.

The municipalities of Nea Propondia, Kassandra and Sithonia will receive 500,000 to help with the repairs on damaged parts of their infrastructure.

Work continues in the damaged part of the power network, with authorities having repaired most of the damages in the area and expecting to complete the rest soon.
