Bill Shorten promises a $4 billion childcare package, while the Scott Morrison government unveiled its intention to freeze the humanitarian intake of refugees.


In a significant Sunday policy announcement, Bill Shorten promise cheaper childcare for all Australian families.

The federal government is rubbishing the opposition's new childcare electon announcements, claiming the Labor party increased childcare fees by fifty percent last time it was in office.

Treasuer Josh Frydenberg says Opposition leader Bill Shorten is going to raise taxes, so his spending promises are compromised, and people won't see any real benefit.

At the same time Scott Morrison promise to cap the number of migrants coming to Australia as refugees at 18,750.
