NEPOMAK Australia & New Zealand prides itself on being one of the most active and energetic members of the global NEPOMAK family, despite the geographical distance from Cyprus.
General Committee member of NEPOMAK Eleni Efthymiou told SBS Greek that the flagship event of the organization is the annual NEPOMAK Summit Weekend. The NEPOMAK Summit enables all NEPOMAK members to contribute to the organization through the Annual General Meeting while supporting the hosting community. The summit is an opportunity to network with other like-minded young Cypriots and their senior counterparts.
The organization aims to create awareness of the issues that concern the youth of the Cypriot community as well as providing social events that bring people together.
Member of the Committee, Lukas Theodorou, told SBS Greek that the summit begins on Friday 18 January and on Saturday the 19th of January, NEPOMAK will begin its Annual General Meeting which will continue into Sunday 20th of January.
NEPOMAK Australia & New Zealand consists of the 13 Cypriot communities and organizations that form the Federation of Cyprus Communities and Organisations in Australia and New Zealand. The connection between Cypriot youth communities is essential in order for the organization to achieve its goals and mobilize young Cypriots across Oceania's region.

Each local youth body organises events within their respective regions and they all come together at various times throughout the year to meet as a national body. NEPOMAK Australia & New Zealand’s most important role is to coordinate national and international events and programmes and provide the leadership and assistance to local youth organizations to build their membership from the grassroots.
The conference weekend will be followed by an overnight trip to Litchfield National Park.
