Fronditha Care’s new CEO, Michael Malakonas, shared his vision with SBS Greek.
Recently, he officially assumed duties as head of the not-for-profit aged care organisation.
Mr Malakonas firstly pointed out the need to protect the “bequest that we were given”. He outlined some of the upcoming plans of the organisation, such as the beginning of the revamp works in the facility of St Albans, as well as the completion of the staff training facilities in Mulgrave.
A strategic executive working at CEO, CFO and COO level, Mr Malakonas brings to the role 30 years of finance, accounting strategy, operations, governance and general management experience, predominantly with the financial services industry.
He is a Fellow CPA, holds a CPA MBA from Deakin University and is a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors. He is a non-Executive Director of Merri Community Health Services, where he Chairs the Finance and Audit Risk Management Committee.
He is also Treasurer & Secretary of FC Clifton Hill, a Division 1 State League member of Football Victoria.
