New opportunities for Greek tourism

Greek tourism has the opportunity to be developed in a more effective and sustainable way following Dr Ioannis Pappas's appointment to the Global Sustainable Tourism Council (GSTC). GSTC focuses on effective sustainability planning, maximizing social and economic benefits to the local community, reduction of negative impacts to cultural heritage and reduction of negative impacts to environmental heritage. Dr. Pappas spoke to Maria-Stella Papageorgiou about the new perspectives of Greece's tourism and it’s economy.
