Article 44 (i) of the constitution, that disqualifies any person of dual nationality or even entitled to the rights or privileges of a subject or citizen of a foreign power, for election to the Australian Parliament, has recently caused a political maelstrom. Monash University, Australian Politics and Governance Professor, Dr. Nick Economou, spoke to Alexandros Logothetis, about the history of article 44 and its potential future.
