Nick Kyrgios had a positive start to this year’s US Open winning American Steve Johnson 3-0 set [6-3, 7-6 (7-1), 6-4].

The Greek-Australian needed about two hours to secure his win, which included 24 aces.

As usual, Kyrgios offered the crowd some drama. He was involved ion some heated exchanges with the umpire, and some spectators. At one point he was caught muttering “"You could not have picked a more boring sport as a profession."

His next opponent will be France’s Antoine Hoang.
