The Greek Community of Melbourne and Victoria disagrees with the solution that is being promoted in the Greek parliament, to give the right to Hellenes abroad to vote for the Greek national elections.
The Community’s president, Mr. Bill Papastergiadis says that the provisions of the bill discussed in the legislative assembly, discriminates against Greek citizens living in other countries and leaves out of the vote almost 90% of the people who are entitled to vote won’t be able, due the criteria and the restrictions posed.
