NSW records 149 new coronavirus cases in biggest daily jump

The jump in cases is the highest recorded since the beginning of the COVID-19 outbreak.


New South Wales has reported 149 new coronavirus cases in 24 hours, the highest one-day jump since the outbreak began.

The new cases bring the state's total number of confirmed cases to 818, NSW health authorities said on Tuesday morning.

NSW Chief Medical Officer Kerry Chant also said 13 people are currently in the ICU with COVID-19.
