NSW will implement 'modest changes' to Christmas lockdown rules after recording eight new coronavirus cases

Northern Beaches residents will be unable to leave the region over the Christmas period, but will be permitted to host some guests.


The majority of coronavirus restrictions across Greater Sydney will remain in place over the Christmas period, with "modest changes" to come into effect in time for Christmas Eve. 

New South Wales recorded its second day of new infections in the single digits, with eight locally-transmitted cases recorded. Seven of the new cases have been linked to the Northern Beaches.
