Olympiacos has stunned Arsenal in London and despite the defeat in the first match managed to win 2-1 and secure their qualification to the round of “16” of UEFA’s Europa League.
The Greek side, who was supported by a approximately 5000 travelling fans took the lead in the 53rd minute with Pape Abou Cisse.
The 0-1 remained till the 90th minute so the match went into extra time. Arsenal managed to equalise with Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang at 113rd minute and it seemed that would be enough to let them progress to the next stage.
However, in the dying minutes, Olympiacos took again the lead with El Arabi, and with the away goal rule they remain on European track.
Basil- APOEL 1-0
Contrary to Olympiacos, APOEL suffered another defeat from Basil with 1-0 in Switzerland and they are out from the rest of the competition.
