It's not everyday that one turns 100! Even with the advances in medicine most people are not expected to go past 100. If they do, they usually face significant health and/mobility issues and more often than not live in nursing homes. The lucky ones are in retirement villages. Greek -Australian Yiannis Koulmantas turned 100 on August the 6th 2018. He lives in the home he bought when he came to Australia over 50 years ago. The last 15 years, since the death of his wife, he lives alone. What is the secret of his longevity? "There is no secret" he said to SBS Greek, but he confessed eating fish almost every day helps a lot. He hails from the island of Lesvos where he worked from a young age in his father's fish business.
