A survey of 2,000 Australian employees has revealed women are more likely to experience financial stress than men with single parents particularly affected.
The data, released by financial services company AMP from its Financial Wellness report, comes as the Financial Services Royal Commission continues, currently looking into the practices of predatory lenders.
AMP commissioned the report, using online interviews with more than 2,000 Australian employees to assess their levels of financial stress.
The data revealed a gender difference, with 24 per cent of women found to be in financial stress compared with 14 per cent of men.
