Following the departure of Italian manager Andrea Stramaccioni earlier on Thursday, Panathinaikos announced the hiring of Marinos Ouzounidis as its new coach.The Athens club stated the 48-year-old manager has signed a contract for a year-and-a-half, i.e. until the end of next season.Ouzounidis is a former player of Panathinaikos as a central defender, forming part of the team that reached the semifinals of the Champions League in 1996.His most recent job was at Panionios, until August 2016.
