Professor Nikos Ligeros was invited by the Municipality of Tempe (Thessaly) to speak about the ANZACS' presence in Greece in the two World Wars. A few weeks prior to Prof. Ligeros' presentation, the Australian ambassador to Greece Kate Logan collected a sample of soil from Tempe to be sent to Sydney for the Soil Collection Project, part of the ANZAC Centenary commemorations. Prof. Ligeros told SBS Greek that he'll visit Australia in September.
