SBS chief Michael Ebeid , has been made a Member of the Order of Australia

Michael Ebeid, the Egyptian kid who grew up to be the head of the Special Broadcasting Service, has been made a Member of the Order of Australia.

Mr Ebeid, 51, was awarded the title in this years Queens Birthday Honours List for significant service to the broadcast media and multicultural affairs as an executive, innovator and business .
